The ‘Venom’ star drops the symbiote for the Adamantium claws.
Venom star Tom Hardy steps into a comic-accurate Wolverine costume to replace Hugh Jackman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Although fans will next see Tom Hardy with a symbiote in the Venom sequel, a new design pictures him following up Hugh Jackman as Wolverine for the MCU in a comic-accurate costume. There;s been a number of candidates suggested by fans for the role including Shia LaBeouf, Keanu Reeves and Antony Starr. And while it seems unlikely that Tom Hardy would swap playing one Marvel character for another, it’s also not impossible, especially when Jamie Foxx is returning to play Electro.
The new design of the star comes from ‘get2dacopra’ on Instagram, and gives him the iconic yellow and black costume with a red utility belt. Many fans are hoping that since Hugh Jackman never got to wear the classic costume in live-action that Marvel will introduce a version of the suit whenever mutants are finally brought into the MCU. The Wolverine design also gives Tom Hardy the iconic facial hair, alongside those all-important Adamantium claws. Take a look at the actor replacing Hugh Jackman below.
What do you make of Tom Hardy as Wolverine? Would you like to see the star follow up Hugh Jackman in the role? Are you excited to see him in the Venom sequel? Sound-off in the comments below!
